Hi Chris,
Many thanks for putting together all of the bike shop info. I’m going to be cycling around Spain and France in June/July 2014 and I am flying back to Scotland from Bordeaux. Do you have any first hand knowledge of a bike store that would box my bike for my return?

Hi Ian, glad you liked the post and thanks for getting in touch.
I don’t have any knowledge of it right now but I could look into it for you. Maybe I could send an e-mail to all the shops on my list and see if any of them offer that service. If not maybe they throw their boxes once they have a new delivery in which case maybe I could take pick one up when that happens and store it for you. What do you rekon?

That’s very kind of you Chris, as long as you are sure that is not too much trouble to get in touch with all of the shops? Plan B would be to get an empty bike box and pack it myself. Sincerely thanks for all your help. I’m planning to fly into Barcelona on 25th June and cycle along the Costa Brava coast to Narabonne, up through Toulouse then onto a retreat centre in Cubjac near Perigauxe and do a 6 day retreat before cycling to Bordeaux and home to Scotland. Just trying to do as much pre planning as possible at the moment.

I’m in the process of aquiring you a box. Should certainly have one by the time you arrive in Bordeaux. I’ll keep you posted. Good luck for the trip, lets have a drink when you get to Bordeaux and you can tell me about it.

Hi Chris, so sorry for the inconvenience and my forgetting that you were going to organise a box for me!! I’ve contacted a shop on your website, Espirit Cycles, and the contact has just this week replied that it is no problem to just bring my bike in and he will take care of it. But many thanks for your effort on my behalf, it is very kind of you. I’m currently busy trying to organise some accommodation on the Air B&B website near the bike shop. I have three days in Bordeaux so a nice glass of van rouge would hit the spot.
